What We Do

We PRAY

As temples of the Living God we are to be houses of prayer. We pray namely for the purpose of abiding in Christ because apart from him we are unable to accomplish anything. We pray that we may abide in Him, His words and His actions, that we may bear much fruit and that our fruit might remain.

Psalms 34:17 – The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Jeremiah 33:3 – Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Matthew 26:41 – Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Luke 11:9 – And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

John 15:7 – If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 – I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

GOSPEL PROCLAMATION (Baptize)

How will they hear without a preacher? As the LORD has called His church to be the Light of the World, we intentionally GO in order to shine the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ upon the unbelieving. The Lord Jesus Christ has called His church to be witnesses to the power of His resurrection. We proclaim victory through Jesus, believing that the gospel alone is the power of God unto salvation.

Mark 16:15-16 – And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Luke 19:10 – For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Acts 1:8 – But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

1 Corinthians 1:17 – but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

MAKING DISCIPLES

JESUS calls all believers to be disciples and to make disciples. As disciples we must be willing to daily lay down our lives for the sake of the Gospel and the name of our LORD. As stewards of the Word of God, we aim to encourage one another and others into a deeper relationship with Christ by preaching the Word; being instant in season and out of season, reproving, rebuking, exhortingwith all longsuffering and doctrine.

Isaiah 6:8 – Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here [am] I; send me.

Matthew 28:18-20 – And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

2 Timothy 2:15 – Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hebrew 10:24 – And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

WORKS OF COMPASSION

Our GOD is a GOD of love, justice and compassion. JESUS looked upon the masses and saw that they were as sheep with no shepherd. Our LORD says, “What you have done to the least of these, you have also done unto Me.” Through these works of compassion, we are able to contextualize the Gospel
within the framework of addressing specific needs to transform our society for the glory of GOD.

Matthew 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

James 2:15-16 – If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

Micah 6:8 – He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Proverbs 31:8-9 – Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
